On June 13, 2019, Seneca Foundry was at Sinto America’s manufacturing plant, in Grand Ledge, Michigan, to train on their newly purchased X7i-FDS22R-455GR-C Barinder, an innovative, high speed, an automated grinder that dramatically reduces finishing time and labor costs, prior to shipping. Seneca Foundry, an iron castings manufacturer, is located in Webster City, Iowa.

Previously, they were manually grinding all their castings and had a lack of labor in the cleaning room. Now, they are beginning to switch over to an automated system. Seneca stated they enjoyed how easy the Barinder is to program and also that it works for a jobbing foundry. Barinder’s easy-to-learn programming is designed to be intuitive and allows the operator to teach the machine to automatically perform the same operations that would otherwise be performed manually.
